Ellie Emberley, RMT

Ellie Emberley is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in June 2014. 


Ellie started her career in healthcare when she trained as a paramedic in 2006 before switching to the field of massage therapy in 2014.


After graduating with honours from The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2013 Ellie has continued to educate herself, taking special interest in chronic pain and postural complications.


After 10 years of experience Ellie has a special focus in deep tissue work, migraines, chronic neck and shoulder pain, and realigning posture.  In addition to that she also has increased learning and experience in pre and post natal massage, as well and infant and paediatric massage.

 

Ellie also works as an anatomy teacher in yoga training schools after having gained experience teaching at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto. She often brings this educators mindset into the clinic room to  help her clients understand how they can best live active lives.




Naiomi MacLean is a graduate of Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health. She is a massage therapist as well as a yoga instructor.


Naiomi graduated from the 3000-hour Massage Therapy program in Nelson at the Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences.

She provides a patient centered approach to her treatments through individual assessment, treatment planning, selecting manual techniques, and choosing a self care plan that fits her patient's lifestyle and personal goals. Techniques range from relaxing Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release techniques, MET (muscle energy) craniosacral and visceral work and trigger point release techniques. Her practice is evidence based and trauma informed.

She has experience working with individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions, fibromyalgia, insomnia, PTSD, depression and anxiety. She has a particular interest in working with prenatal and postnatal clients, and those dealing with shoulder injuries. She has experience treating children and teenagers, making the massage experience feel fun and safe. 

Naiomi has been practicing yoga for 20 years and has completed 600 hours of training in yoga instruction.

​Drawing from her yoga teaching background, she encourages a focus on the breath during treatments to guide patients into finding both deep relaxation and to promote the release of tension.
